After overcoming an abusive childhood and experiencing life in the marines, Alundas Havens has come out on top. He’s not only created a podcast in the top 3%, but a successful business and mindset. He shares his story and what it takes to create the winning edge in both business and life.
Who Is Alundas Havens?
Alundas Havens is the CEO and Founder of Alpha Influence Media and host of The Winners Paradigm Podcast (Top 3% In The World). He is also a Marine Corps Veteran. Growing up, Alundas endured physical and emotional abuse, which created mental barriers that kept him “safe” from the world. However, this did not stop him from developing grit and a strong work ethic. And deep down, he knew he would make it, even if it was just to prove everyone wrong.
After 4 years in the Marine Corp, an opportunity arose to purchase Zach’s podcasting course for just $47. Alundas dove in and launched The Winner’s Paradigm podcast. His motivation and grit got on Zach’s radar, and together they created Alpha Influence Media.
Adaptability and Flexibility in Life and Business
What do you do when things don’t go according to plan in your life or business? Are you flexible enough to make changes on the fly, or do you allow circumstances to negatively affect your behavior? Unfortunately, most people cannot survive and thrive in difficult and ever-changing environments. So, when things go south, they act like chickens with their heads cut off.
Being able to stick to the plan is a good quality to have in life. However, things don’t always go according to plan. So instead of being too strict with a plan or emotionally reacting to an event, Alundas believes we should be a little flexible. Define a target and be clear with the destination, but be very flexible about the route. Having a high level of adaptability and flexibility makes it easier to navigate things beyond your control and adjust without breaking.
Being Intentional About the People You Surround Yourself With
Everybody dreams of one day being successful in business, finances, and relationships. But the big question is, why do so few people find success in these areas? Alundas is positive the answer lies in the people you surround yourself with. If you spend time with drunkards, you’re more likely to become a drunkard yourself. But if you spend time with winners, you’re more likely to win in life, too.
So, get rid of the type of people who bring you down. Replace them with people who lift you up, push you to greater heights, keep you accountable, and help you learn from your mistakes. To be successful, you have to raise the standards of your inner circle.
How to Stop Losing and Start Winning In Life
Since ancient times, society has always had a liking for winners. Some people would go as far as to say winning is the central core of society. However, the reality of life is that life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. But what can you do to ensure you win a lot more than you lose? For someone who has been on the losing end many times, Alundas believes winning comes with many sacrifices.
Whichever path you take, there will always be something that makes the journey unbearable. Difficulties will make you feel like giving up. But remember, the harder the battle, the sweeter the victory. And when your desire to win becomes greater than the fear of losing, that’s when taking risks becomes your way of life. Nonetheless, Alundas highlights winning at anything is all in vain if you’re not taking care of your body. So, hit the gym, eat clean, and take care of your mental health.
Advice on How to Consistently Win in Life
Consistency means behaving and repeating the same successful actions for an extended period of time. It’s so unfortunate that many people have trouble being consistent. This is often the case when a person achieves a level of success. Instead of working even harder, they take their foot off the pedal. And although there’s nothing wrong with easing the pressure every once in a while, never take your eye off the desired goal.
Remember, you need to be consistent in both your thoughts and your actions to fully experience the power of consistency. To achieve the desired weight, for example, you need to exercise regularly and not just when you feel motivated. The same is true for almost every other outcome you wish to achieve in life. So when you decide to do something, commit to it and stick to it.
